2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with this website, we may collect:
- Quote request details — your name, phone number, email address (optional), the type of service you need, and the project details you type into the quote form.
- Phone enquiries — if you call the phone number shown on this website, we receive whatever information is generated by that call in the ordinary course of answering it.
- Browsing and device information — the pages you view, how you arrived at the site (for example, a Google or Facebook advertisement), and general technical information sent by your browser as part of any website request.
This website's quote form does not currently include a photo or file upload feature. If you send us photographs of your property or project by email, phone message or in person, those images are held as part of your enquiry record in the same way as other information you provide to us.
3. How we collect information
We collect information:
- directly from you, when you submit the "Request a quote" form on this website;
- directly from you, when you call the phone number displayed on this website;
- automatically, through cookies, browser storage and similar technologies described in section 5, when you browse this website; and
- from advertising and analytics platforms described in section 6, which tell us in general terms how our website and advertising are performing.
4. Why we collect information
We collect and use personal information to:
- respond to your quote request and contact you about your fencing project;
- schedule measures, prepare quotes and carry out agreed work;
- understand which pages, advertisements and marketing channels lead to genuine enquiries, so we can operate our business efficiently;
- detect and prevent spam and fraudulent form submissions; and
- comply with our legal and accounting obligations.
6. Analytics and advertising services
We use the following analytics and advertising services on our production website:
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics is configured on this site with IP anonymisation enabled and does not automatically record a page view on load — our website explicitly sends page view and interaction events (such as viewing the homepage, starting the quote form, and successfully submitting a quote) to Google Analytics.
Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel (from Meta, the operator of Facebook and Instagram) so that if you have previously interacted with our Facebook or Instagram advertising, we can measure whether our advertising leads to genuine enquiries. The Meta Pixel is loaded in your browser and can record page views and specific actions such as clicking our "Call now" button or submitting a quote request.
Meta Conversions API
In addition to the browser-based Meta Pixel, when you successfully submit a quote request our server separately sends a matching "Lead" event directly to Meta's Conversions API. Before sending, we cryptographically hash your name-related identifiers, email address and phone number (using the SHA-256 algorithm) so that Meta receives a hashed value rather than your information in plain, readable form. This server-side event also includes your Meta browser identifiers (_fbp/_fbc, if present), the page URL, and your IP address and browser user-agent string at the time of submission, which Meta uses to match the event to the correct advertising campaign. We do not separately store your IP address or user-agent string in our own database — they are used only for this real-time matching purpose and to help detect abusive or automated form submissions.
The purpose of sending the same conversion from both the browser and our server is to improve the accuracy of advertising measurement and reduce duplicate counting, consistent with Meta's recommended implementation.
Attributer
We use a third-party marketing attribution script called Attributer, loaded from Attributer's content delivery network, to help us understand which marketing channel, campaign or advertisement is associated with a given enquiry. It works from the same UTM parameters and click identifiers described in section 5.
Google Ads
If we run Google Ads campaigns, Google Click ID parameters (gclid, gbraid, wbraid) that arrive with your visit are captured in the same way as other campaign parameters described above, so that quote conversions can be attributed back to specific Google Ads activity.
7. Our customer relationship management (CRM) system
When you submit a quote request, your enquiry details (name, phone number, email address if provided, service required, project details, and relevant marketing attribution data) are automatically transferred into Pipedrive, a third-party customer relationship management (CRM) platform, so that our team can follow up your enquiry, track the status of your quote, and manage our sales pipeline.
8. Hosting and infrastructure
This website is hosted on Vercel, a cloud hosting and content delivery platform. Vercel serves our website from an edge location and operates the server-side functions that process quote form submissions.
9. Storage of lead and enquiry records
Quote request records (the information described in section 2, together with related marketing attribution data) are stored in a Turso database (built on LibSQL, a variant of SQLite) that we maintain for this website. This is our durable record of enquiries received through the website, independent of the CRM described in section 7.
10. Third-party services we use
The only third-party services this website currently sends personal information to, or loads scripts from, are:
- Google (Google Analytics 4, and Google Ads if applicable);
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, for Facebook and Instagram advertising);
- Attributer (marketing attribution script);
- Pipedrive (customer relationship management); and
- Vercel (website hosting) and Turso (database storage).
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
11. Overseas disclosure
Several of the services listed in section 10 are operated by companies based overseas (including the United States), and information may be processed or stored on servers located outside Australia as a result. This can include Google, Meta, Pipedrive, Vercel and Turso infrastructure. By using this website and submitting a quote request, you acknowledge that your information may be handled by these providers outside Australia, in accordance with their own privacy and security practices.
12. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information we hold, including transmitting data over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, hashing sensitive identifiers before sending them to advertising platforms (see section 6), and restricting access to our CRM and database systems to authorised personnel. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Data retention
We retain quote and enquiry records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, complete any agreed work, meet our taxation and accounting record-keeping obligations, and resolve any dispute. Where information is no longer required for these purposes, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
14. Access and correction
You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Please contact us using the details in section 17. We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe, and may need to verify your identity before releasing information.
15. Marketing communications
We may contact you about your quote request by phone, SMS or email. If we send you direct marketing communications, you may opt out at any time by contacting us or using any unsubscribe mechanism included in that communication.
16. Children's privacy
This website is intended for use by adults seeking fencing and related trade services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
